Hugh Jackman Makes the Wolverine Jacket Fit In

The Wolverine jacket has become one of the most popular superhero movie items since actor Hugh Jackman donned it while playing Logan in the X-Men movies.

The Wolverine jacket appears in all three X-Men movies — X-Men, X2: X-Men United, and X-Men: The Last Stand.  However, each movie features Logan wearing a variation of this awesome jacket.  In this article, we’re taking a look at the jacket worn in the first movie.

The maker’s of the X-Men movies had to design clothing for the character of Logan that would fit what we knew about him from comics and the TV series, X-Men.  I personally think they did a great job.  The Wolverine jacket is made completely with top grain, genuine leather.  It’s a slightly faded-brown, which fits Logan’s scruffiness.  Where the costume designers of the movies really did well was with the yellow stripes on the sleeves and at the waist.  These give the Wolverine jacket the flavor it needs to really be identified with Logan’s character.  Anyone who’s familiar with Wolverine from the comics or the X-Men TV series can look at the jacket and say, “Oh yeah, that looks like something he’d wear.

The closure system on the Wolverine jacket is a heavy duty zipper with a snap at the top.  There are also large zipper pockets on either side of the jacket.

This jacket is so cool that there have been replicas of the jacket made.  This made-to-buy Wolverine jacket is fully lined, which means it will keep you warm in harsh conditions, such as those experienced by Wolverine in Canada in the X-Men movie.  The only downside to this jacket is its price, but that’s the cost of getting something this cool.  You can get one of these jackets at SuperHeroStuff’s website.  And as an added bonus when you buy this jacket, you get a dog tag which is exactly like the one worn by Wolverine in the first X-Men movie!  Check out it here.
